Instructions For Copycat Crumbl Chocolate Chip Cookies:

Cream softened butter with sugar and dark brown sugar until well blended and the color of the butter lightens.

Add eggs and vanilla. Blend just until combined.

In another bowl, mix flour, corn starch, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg and salt together.

Then, add flour mixture to the butter and sugar mixture. Blend until just combined.

Add chocolate chips and fold in to distribute chocolate chips evenly.

Use a cookie scoop to make 20-21 cookie balls. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Just before you are ready to bake the cookies, preheat oven to 375 degrees and line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Remove enough of the cookie dough balls (that will fit on your baking sheet) from the refrigerator and break each one in half. Press the smooth sides together to make the rough middle (where you just broke the cookie apart) the top of the cookie-see video below. Smooth the sides to make the cookie round. Place on parchment paper covered baking sheet and bake cold cookie dough at 375 degrees for about 11 minutes.

Remove from the oven and press a few more chocolate chips into the top of each cookie-this makes them look extra yummy! Allow the cookies time to cool on the baking sheet-about 5 minutes.

Then, move cookies to a cooling rack to finish cooling. Or enjoy warm.

Repeat with more cookie dough balls. Remember to keep the cookie dough balls in the refrigerator until ready to bake.

Store these delicious cookies in an airtight container or freeze.

When eating leftovers, microwave for just five seconds to warm up or eat at room temperature. I love the chocolate to be a bit melty. 😊
