Instructions For Grilled Lemon Tilapia:

Start with a piece of foil big enough to wrap your fish up in. Use Heavy Duty Reynolds Wrap Foil or use two pieces of regular foil. Spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray.

Place fish in the middle of the foil and sprinkle desired amount of salt and pepper on top of the fish pieces.

Cut the lemon in half and juice half of the lemon. You will need about one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Pour or squirt the lemon juice onto the fish. Slice the remaining half of the lemon into slices.

Next, cover the fish with 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese (I prefer the grated parmesan cheese rather than the powdered parmesan cheese for this recipe).

Place asparagus spears and about three lemon slices on top of the asparagus spears and the fish.

Wrap the fish up so it is completely covered, with the folds on top so the juices will not leak out of the foil packaging.

Cook fish in the foil on a hot grill for about 9-11 minutes or until cooked through. The thickness of the fish and the grill will make a difference in the cooking time.

Remove from grill and enjoy!

This recipe serves two. This is a great date-night-in dinner recipe. It is simple to make and nearly no clean-up.

Photo of how I like to close up the fish and asparagus dinner below. I have never had any juices leak out After the fish and asparagus finish cooking, I just remove the fish, asparagus and lemon slices from the foil, place them on plates, fold the foil back up and throw away the foil-easy clean up!

Cook’s Note:

The lemon slices really add some good lemon flavor. If you are not a big lemon fan, use less slices when covering your fish. Fish and Lemon just go together, though.
