Ingredients Needed For Easy Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe:

2 pounds chicken, chopped or shredded (I like to use Costco’s rotisserie chicken but, you can also boil 2 pounds chicken breast if desired)

1/4 cup butter

2 1/2 cups carrots, sliced

2 1/2 cups celery, sliced

1/2 cup onion, diced

3 cups water

5-14.5 ounce cans chicken broth

1 teaspoon parsley

1 teaspoon poultry seasoning

bay leaf

4 chicken bouillon cubes

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

4 cups egg noodles

Instructions for Easy Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe:

Cut the carrots, celery and onion. Cutting the vegetables is the most time consuming part. It is easier from here.

First, cook the carrots, celery, and onion in the butter until they are tender-in a deep pot or a stock pot.

Next, add the chopped chicken, water, broth, and seasonings. Stir to combine.

Then, bring the soup to a boil while stirring.

Finally, add the egg noodles and continue cooking at a low boil for 8-10 minutes-until egg noodles are the desired tenderness.

Don’t forget to remove the bay leaf when the soup is ready to serve.
