Ingredients Needed for Easy Garlic Bread:

  • 1 loaf French bread, cut lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped finely-I use herb scissors
  • 1/2-1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese-I use Kraft (If you want to use freshly grated parmesan cheese that is shredded, sprinkle the cheese on top of the bread about two minutes before you remove the garlic bread from the oven-just enough time for the cheese to melt)

Instructions for Easy Garlic Bread:

  1. Preheat oven to 425℉.
  2. Cut French bread in half lengthwise.
  3. Soften (NOT MELT) butter in the microwave, if necessary. If you remember to remove the butter from the refrigerator earlier in the day to get to room temperature-even better. The butter needs to be soft enough to mix with a spoon.
  4. Mix the softened butter with the minced garlic and chopped fresh parsley.
  5. Add grated Parmesan cheese and mix well.
  6. Spread butter mixture on each side of the French bread.
  7. Place buttered French bread sides onto a parchment covered baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes at 425℉.
  8. Remove from the oven when edges of French bread are lightly browned to your liking.
  9. Cut into 16 pieces and serve.
