This seriously can be made so fast. You have to pop the popcorn and remove the kernels. Then, bring the ingredients to a boil and continue boiling until the sugar is dissolved. Finally, pour the caramel sauce over the popped popcorn-easy! Since it is so easy, it is something we make often. I can put it together quickly for a yummy snack while we watch a movie or play cards.

Instructions for Easy Caramel Corn:

Pop the microwave popcorn, in the microwave of course 😊. Then, cut a small hole in the bottom corner of each bag and shake out the kernels. Discard the kernels. You may need to pull a few popcorn pieces through the hole if it is blocking the kernels. I would also remove any pieces I see that look half popped and may be hard-don’t take too much time looking for these half popped hard kernels. I just do not want anyone breaking a tooth when biting into a chunk of caramel corn-not suspecting an unpopped kernel to be hiding inside.

Pour the popped popcorn in a large bowl and set aside.

Place butter, brown sugar, and marshmallows in a sauce pan. Bring all of these ingredients to a boil. Stir continually. Boil to dissolve the sugar and melt the marshmallows.

When the caramel sauce is ready, remove from the heat and add the vanilla. Stir the caramel to blend.

Slowly pour the caramel sauce over the popped popcorn. Carefully stir to distribute caramel sauce. I like to pour some of the caramel sauce and then stir. Then, pour, stir, repeat until caramel is gone.

Enjoy this simple and inexpensive snack!
