Ingredients Needed For Peach Cobbler:

Peaches:

  • 3 1/2 pounds peaches, peeled, sliced and pits removed
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Topping:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, cold and cut into smaller pieces
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions For Peach Cobbler:

  1. Mix white sugar, brown sugar, corn starch, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla in a bowl-mix well. Set aside.
  2. Place prepared peaches in a greased 9 x 13 baking dish. 
  3. Add sugar mixture to the peaches and stir to combine.
  4. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
  5. While the peaches bake, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, butter and milk with a fork or a pasty blender to form a dough. Make sure the butter is mixed in. 
  6. Remove peaches from the oven. 
  7. Form flat, circular shapes with the dough and place them on top of the peaches. Press the dough down lightly. 
  8. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until golden brown. 
  9. Remove from the oven and cool slightly. Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
