Korean Pork


Korean Pork uses a small pork loin, cooked and shredded. Then, it is covered in a delicious and simple sauce you make on the stove. Serve this recipe over our Baked Rice for a yummy dinner. Definitely add some veggies on the side.

Ingredients Needed For Korean Pork:

  • 1 1/2 pound pork loin, cooked and shredded
  • Rice, prepared
  • sesame seeds, optional

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, less if less heat is desired

Instructions For Korean Pork:

  1. Cook pork loin in a slow cooker for 4-5 hours. 
  2. When pork loin has cooked through, remove from slow cooker and shred. Then, add to the sauce. 
  3. Bake the rice or cook as desired so rice is ready when the pork loin is ready.

Sauce Instructions:

  1. About 10 minutes before the pork loin is cooked through, place all of the sauce ingredients in a sauce pan.
  2. Bring sauce ingredients to a boil, stirring frequently so sauce does not burn.
  3. When sugar has dissolved and sauce has thickened, add shredded pork and stir to combine. 
  4. Serve over rice and top with sesame seeds, if desired. Enjoy!
  5. NOTE: if using our Baked Rice, half of the baked rice recipe was enough for this size of pork loin.
