Instructions For Slow Cooker Kalua Pork:

Place the two and a half pound pork loin in a slow cooker. Rub olive oil and salt all over the pork loin. (use Hawaiian salt if you have it-otherwise, use regular salt)

Pour chicken broth and liquid smoke over the pork loin. Add minced garlic to the slow cooker over the pork loin.

Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until pork loin is nearly cooked through.

When pork loin is nearly cooked through, add the chopped cabbage, press what you can into the juices and continue cooking for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Stir once during the cabbage cooking time.

When pork has cooked through and cabbage is tender, shred the pork (a lot of the juices will soak into the shredded meat) and serve over rice. We love to bake our rice-it is easy, fluffy and delicious-here’s the link: Oven Baked Rice. Enjoy this easy dinner recipe.
