Sweet and Sour Chicken


This Sweet and Sour Chicken is delicious! My whole family loves this chicken. There are never any leftovers. I like to serve this with Sesame Oil Fried Rice Enjoy!

Ingredients:

2 1/2 pounds chicken breast, cut into bite-sized chunks

1 cup corn starch

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

3 eggs, beaten

Olive oil to brown chicken

Sauce:

1 1/2 cup sugar

1 cup white vinegar

1/2 cup ketchup

2 Tablespoons soy sauce

2 teaspoons garlic salt

Sauce Directions:

1. Mix all sauce ingredients with a whisk and set aside.

Directions:

1. Place corn starch, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Place eggs in another bowl and beat with a fork.

2. Coat chicken in cornstarch mixture, then dip in beaten egg.

3. Heat oil in a frying pan. Brown chicken pieces-do not cook through.

4. Place browned chicken on a large cookie sheet.

5. Pour sauce over chicken and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour-turning chicken pieces every 15- 20 minutes.
