The Best Sesame Fried Rice

Are you hungry for Asian food? I love good Asian food. This Sesame Fried Rice is delicious and super simple to make. I like to cook the rice the night before and refrigerate it until I’m ready to add it to the other ingredients. It works when you cook the rice when you are making this recipe, too. I like to serve this rice with this amazing recipe for Sweet and Sour Chicken.

This link for Oven Baked Rice is an easy rice recipe-it’s my most favorite way to cook rice. It is so easy and always turns out so well for me. It is the best because of how it tastes and that I can just place it in the oven and forget about it for the baking time. Remove it from the oven and let it sit for five minutes and fluff with a fork and it is perfect and ready to eat or add to your recipes.

All of these recipes are fantastic. We like them better than take-out. We hope you love all of the recipes on this page and within this blog. We’d love to hear how you like them after you make them.

Instructions for Sesame Fried Rice:

Cook rice and set aside. Or refrigerate. Refrigerating makes it easier to mix-the grains break apart better if it has been refrigerated. I like to make the rice the day before I make this recipe but, it is not mandatory for this recipe to turn out deliciously.

Place diced onion in a deep frying pan with a little oil. Cook the diced onion until tender.

Add the minced garlic to the onion and oil in the frying pan (or Wok). Stir and continue cooking for one minute.

Place the thawed carrots and peas in the pan with the onion and garlic mixture. Stir to combine. I have, when I have forgotten to get the frozen carrots and. peas out of the freezer ahead of time, used them frozen. Just make sure chunks of ice do not get included in the mixture.

Beat the eggs in a separate bowl and add the beaten eggs to the frying pan and stir to cook the egg and to combine.

Add the cooked rice, sesame oil, and soy sauce to the egg and vegetable mixture. Stir to combine and to heat through. Make sure you break the pieces of rice apart as you stir the mixture.

Serve and enjoy!

Other Side Recipes You Will Enjoy:

Browned Garlic Green Beans and Baked Bacon Green Beans are two side recipes that go with nearly any main dish. Costco sells a large bag of fresh green beans-we like to buy these and use them as sides for the week. We try to get at least five fruits and vegetables into our diet each day. It is not always easy. It is definitely difficult to get young kids to eat vegetables. If we can hide veggies in our meals, we do! Squash in Mac and Cheese is always something we do and nobody knows.

Baked Bacon Tomatoes is a great recipe for using tomatoes. We grow tomatoes in our garden every single summer. They are the best-no store bought tomato can compare to a homegrown garden tomato. Each plant produces a lot of tomatoes, it can be hard to find ways to use all of them without wasting (which I hate to do!). This is one recipe we make that is quick and easy and uses some of the produce from the plants. They are yummy.

Carrot Sides:

Honey Brown Sugar Carrots can be made with baby carrots or whole carrots that have been peeled and chopped up. The glaze on these carrots is delicious. It is an easy side recipe we use often and they go so well for holiday dinner side dishes. These carrots are usually on our Thanksgiving and Easter menus. Using baby carrots cuts the prep time down on this recipe which is fantastic-we are always looking for ways to save time.

Parmesan Roasted Carrots is a simple and easy recipe-and a great way to cook carrots for a yummy side dish. They go well with chicken, beef, or fish. Roasting vegetables is such an easy way to make a side. Place them on a large baking sheet with sides. Many different vegetables are wonderful cooked this way.

Our family definitely does not claim to be perfect cooks. Cooking (and eating what we cook and what others cook) is one of our favorite things to do but, we are not perfect. Typos are something we hate to find in our recipes, but, it happens. If you find any mistakes, please let us know-we will fix them as soon as we can and we will appreciate your excellent editing skills.

We all want to thank you for visiting and trying recipes from our on-line cookbook. Your support is very much appreciated. All of us are hoping that all of you are staying healthy and strong and happy. Have a fantastic day and an even better week. Have fun cooking and remember to get the kids involved where it is safe to do so. They may love it and it is a great activity for quality family time. Family is the best!
