Broccoli Chicken Pasta


This Broccoli Chicken Pasta is one of those great, super easy dinners that comes together really quick. I love easy pasta dishes that have protein and vegetables in them because it makes it that much easier.

To make this dish you will start out by cooking the pasta and broccoli together in a large boiling pot of water until the pasta and broccoli is tender. Drain and set aside.

As that cooks, you will want to make the alfredo sauce. Begin by melting the butter in a saucepan and whisk in the flour until no lumps remain. Next add in the minced garlic, milk, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Stir it until the parmesan cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

Now you can add in the drained, shredded chicken and let it warm up in the sauce for a few minutes. Last, you can combine the pasta and broccoli with the sauce and chicken mixture. Toss to coat.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

Broccoli Chicken Pasta

An easy pasta dish full of broccoli and chicken and coated in a creamy alfredo sauce.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. bowtie pasta
  • 1 can chicken drained and shredded
  • 1 crown broccoli washed and cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups milk
  • cups parmesan cheese grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta and broccoli in a large pot of boiling water until the pasta is done and the broccoli is tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter on low heat and whisk in the flour.

  3. Turn the heat up to medium and add the garlic, milk, parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.

  4. Stir until the parmesan cheese is melted.

  5. Add the chicken into the sauce and cook for a few minutes so it can warm up.

  6. Toss the pasta, broccoli, and sauce with the chicken in it together in a large bowl and enjoy!
