Crispy Honey Pork Chops

Ingredients:

4 pork chops

1/2 c. flour

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. pepper

1 tsp. parsley flakes

1/2 Tbl. ground ginger

1/2 Tbl. nutmeg

1/2 tsp. thyme

1/2 tsp. Lawrys seasoning salt

1/2 Tbl. paprika

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

1 egg

2 Tbl. water

Oil for frying

Sauce:

1 Tbl. olive oil

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 c. honey

1/8 c. soy sauce

1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions:

In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, salt, pepper, parsley flakes, ginger, nutmeg, thyme, Lawrys, paprika, and cayenne pepper.

In a separate shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and 2 Tbl. water.

Dip the pork chop in the flour mixture, egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture.

In a skillet on medium heat, heat up about 1/2 inch of oil in the pan. Fry the pork chops for about 4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.

Transfer the pork chops to a plate with paper towels to let it absorb some of the excess oil. Flip it after a minute or two to soak up excess oil from the other side.

While the pork chops are frying, make the sauce.

In a saucepan on medium heat, add the olive oil and garlic. Cook until the garlic is fragrant. Add the honey, soy sauce, and pepper.

Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes then remove from the heat and let it cool.

After some of the excess oil has come off of the pork chops, dip them in the sauce.

Enjoy!

  1. We nade these pork chops tonight but baked them instead of frying them. We liked them and will probably be making them again!
For anyone curious I baked them at 430 degrees F for 15 minutes then flipped them and broiled for 10 minutes. Be careful flipping them. The breading came off a few of them because I wasn’t cafeful.
    Thanks for the yummy recipe!
