I bought two loaves of French bread this week (they were less expensive in a two pack ❤) to make Cheeseburger Stuffed French Bread-that my family loves. I also wanted to try a breakfast stuffed French bread. Here’s what I made. It was really yummy.

Ingredients Needed for Breakfast Stuffed French Bread:

1 loaf of French bread

1  3/4 cup Bacon Crumbles

1/2 cup onion, chopped (or more if you like)

2  1/2 cups fresh mushrooms, chopped

2 cups cheddar cheese, grated

1/2 cup milk

8 eggs

1 Tablespoon butter or olive oil, if you prefer

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions for Breakfast Stuffed French Bread:

Place butter in a deep frying pan and cook onion and mushrooms.

While the vegetables cook, cut the top off of the French bread and remove the soft middle. Reserve the soft bread you removed and break it into small pieces. Place the bread loaf on a large piece of foil-on a large baking sheet. (you will be wrapping the foil around the bread)

Add bacon, salt, garlic powder, pepper, parsley, eggs, soft bread from the middle of the French bread, and milk to the vegetable mixture. Scramble cook the eggs, mixing well to combine all ingredients.

When the eggs have cooked, add the cheese and mix well-until melted.

Spoon mixture into hollowed out French bread and cover with the top of the bread.

Wrap foil tightly around bread. I use another piece of foil for the top and pinch the pieces together.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

Remove from oven. Slice with a sharp knife and serve.
