Ingredients Needed for The Best Caramel Corn EVER!:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup corn syrup
2 cups brown sugar
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
5-3.3 ounce bags regular sized bags of buttered microwave popcorn (33-35 cups)
Pop all of the bags of popcorn, make sure you don’t burn it. Cut a small hole in the bottom corner of the bag and shake the kernels into a small bowl and throw them away. Try to get all of the kernels and the hard little pieces of partially popped corn out-we don’t want anyone breaking a tooth on a kernel.
How to make The Best Caramel Corn EVER!:
Open the popcorn bags and empty the popcorn into an extra large bowl mixing bowl (I use my largest Costco metal mixing bowl).
Make the caramel: melt butter in a sauce pan, slowly. Add corn syrup and brown sugar. Stirring constantly, bring ingredients to a boil. Boil for 4 minutes until sugar is dissolved. Lower temperature and add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Stir to combine and heat through. Remove from heat.
Pour the homemade caramel over the popcorn slowly, while carefully stirring the popcorn. Coat as evenly as you can.
Enjoy!
