Instructions for Vanilla Mousse Pie:

Crush the graham crackers in a blender and combine with the sugar in a small to medium sized mixing bowl.

I love the Ninja Blender-it is one of my favorite kitchen tools. You have to get one with the single serve cups included. The single serve blender cups are perfect for crushing graham crackers-you will have to blend the crackers in two parts but, they come out so smooth. (see above)!!

Melt the butter and mix into the graham cracker and sugar mixture.

Press graham cracker crust mixture into a 9 inch pie pan and bake at 350 degrees for 8-9 minutes.

While the graham cracker pie crust bakes, combine the instant vanilla pudding with the milk, using an electric mixer. Mix until it is smooth and creamy. Do not add the heavy cream until the milk and vanilla instant pudding are combined well.

Next, add the heavy cream (a little at a time if desired-so it doesn’t splash out of your bowl). Mix with an electric mixer until smooth, creamy, and thick. Thick enough so when you cut the pie later the mousse will stay where it belongs, not squish out into the empty space where you removed a piece of pie.

Refrigerate the pie to chill. Chill for a good 2 hours. More is better but, 2 is doable. Overnight works great too.

When the pie has chilled, serve with whipping cream, if desired. We always have whipping cream on hand-it is delicious and pretty on top of desserts (Reddi Wip with real cream is our favorite). Or better yet-make your own whipping cream with heavy cream and some sugar.

This mousse pie can be served with fresh raspberries, strawberries, blueberries or blackberries, a chocolate drizzle, chocolate ganache, canned pie filling, a strawberry glaze-try different versions and see what you like best.

  • 1 sleeve graham crackers crushed
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Mousse:

  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 5.1 ounce box instant vanilla pudding

Instructions

Graham Cracker Crust:

  1. Crush graham crackers in a blender.

  2. Mix crushed graham crackers with the sugar.

  3. Melt butter and then mix into the graham cracker mixture.

  4. Press mixture into a 9 inch pie pan.

  5. Bake for 8-9 minutes at 350° and then allow time to cool.

Mousse:

  1. With an electric mixer, combine vanilla pudding mix with milk. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  2. Add heavy cream, slowly if desired. Mix until smooth, creamy, and thick enough to stay in its place when you cut into the pie.

  3. When mousse has thickened, spoon the mixture into the cooled graham cracker pie crust and refrigerate to chill.

  4. After pie has chilled, enjoy with your favorite people! 😊
