As I am typing this…I realize I use the word delicious a lot. Food is delicious!! The youngest member of our family uses that word a lot, too. She will tell me that, whatever it is she is eating is delicious! Her grandpa loves to tease her (like grandpas do) and tell her-it’s delish! She always comes back with, No it’s not! It’s delicious! Little children are such a great part of life. They make the holidays extra special! I am so grateful for all of the little people in my life. I am grateful they call my food delicious. 😊

The holidays are so close! I love ❤️ this time of year with the extra time we get to spend with family and friends and the extra delicious food we get to make and eat. We hope you all enjoy your family and friends and the good food you will eat together.

We hope you enjoy this recipe for pumpkin waffles with butter pecan syrup.

Cooks Note:

Don’t forget to keep the pecans you strain out of the syrup. They taste great on top of the waffles with the syrup and whipping cream.

Another option is…you can leave the pecans in the syrup. I prefer my syrup to be smooth-no lumps. So, I strain the pecans out but, the syrup coated pecans are really good just to eat or put on or in your waffle.
