Salisbury Steak

This Salisbury Steak is delicious! It is one of my husband’s favorite meals and is a great comfort food dish. Especially served with mashed potatoes!

Ingredients:

Patties:

1 lb. ground beef, thawed

1/3 cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 teaspoons ketchup

1 teaspoon mustard

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Gravy:

3 cups water

2 packets brown gravy mix

2 beef bullion cubes

1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

Mix all ingredients for the patties together with your hands.

Shape the meat into five even patties.

In a skillet, heat up 1 tablespoon of olive oil on medium heat. Add the patties and cook until no longer pink.

Turn the temperature down to low.

In a bowl, mix together all ingredients for the gravy. Pour this over the patties in the skillet. Let the gravy heat up and thicken.

Serve!

We like it over mashed potatoes but it is great with just the meat and gravy too!
