A fun breakfast recipe idea.
Place butter in a deep frying pan and cook onion and mushrooms until nearly tender.
While the vegetables cook, cut the top off of the French bread and remove the soft middle, break it into small pieces, and reserve. Place the bread on a large piece of foil-on a baking sheet.
Add bacon crumbles, salt, garlic powder, pepper, parsley, eggs, bread crumbs (from the middle of the French bread), and milk to the onion and mushroom mixture.
Stir the mixture to scramble cook the eggs and to combine ingredients.
When the eggs are cooked, add the cheese and mix until melted.
Spoon the mixture into the bottom half of the French bread loaf and place the top piece of bread back on top.
Place another piece of foil on top of the bread loaf and wrap tightly.
Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes.
Remove from oven and unwrap. Slice with a sharp knife and enjoy!
