Black Diamond Sharp Cheddar Cheese Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta dry
  • 3/4 cup Black Diamond Sharp Cheddar Cheese Spread
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/8 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 2/3 cup fresh parmesan cheese-NOT Kraft grated
  • dried parsley to garnish, if desired
  • smoked paprika to garnish, if desired

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to the package directions.

  2. While the pasta cooks, make the cheese sauce.

  3. In a sauce pan, combine Black Diamond Sharp Cheddar cheese spread with the milk. Stir over the lowest heat while stirring with a wooden spoon. Do not boil or even simmer!

  4. When cheese and milk have combined and are barely warm, add the dry mustard, salt and pepper. Stir to combine-until smooth and creamy.

  5. Drain pasta and add the drained pasta back into the pan. Place this pan on a hot pad on the kitchen counter.

  6. Quickly add the cheese sauce to the hot pasta. Stir to combine.

  7. Add the grated Parmesan and stir to melt and combine.

  8. Sprinkle with dried parsley and smoked paprika, if desired. Or serve it on the side for those who do not like those seasonings.

  9. Serve and enjoy!
