A super easy Spanish Rice recipe that you bake.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups rice rinsed
  • 8 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 14.5 ounce can chicken broth
  • 1 cup chunky salsa
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375°.

  2. Use a fine wire mesh strainer to rinse the rice with water until the water runs clear.

  3. Place rinsed rice in a small baking dish-9x9. Set aside.

  4. Place tomato sauce, chicken broth, salsa, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder and salt into a sauce pan and bring to a boil.

  5. After the mixture boils, pour it over the rice in the baking dish. Stir and quickly cover with foil, tightly.

  6. Bake at 375° for 25 minutes.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it sit with the foil on for five minutes.

  8. Remove the foil and fluff with a fork and serve. Serves 6-8.
