  • 2 tbsps sour cream
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese freshly grated
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 4 ounce can diced jalapeños drained
  • 4 ounce can diced green chilies drained
  • 1/3 cup bacon cooked and crumbled small
  • 1/4 cup green onion sliced thin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt more to taste

Cheese Ball Coating

  • 1/2 cup Panko crumbs
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Combine all of the cheese ball ingredients (leave cheese ball coating ingredients out for use later).

  2. Mix the cheese ball ingredients with an electric mixer until well blended.

  3. Form cream cheese mixture into a ball, wrap or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.

  4. While the cheese ball chills, toast the crumbs by placing the Panko crumbs, butter and dried parsley into a frying pan and heat, stirring constantly, while the Panko crumbs toast.

  5. Remove from the heat when the crumbs have toasted and allow time to cool completely.

  6. When the cheese ball has chilled and the Panko crumbs have cooled, roll the cheese ball in the Panko crumbs. Enjoy this yummy cheese ball with your favorite crackers or refrigerate until ready to serve.
