Ingredients

  • 2-2 1/4 pounds chicken breast thawed
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup Asian sweet chili sauce
  • 2 1/2 tbsps hoisin sauce
  • 2 1/2 tbsps rice wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tbsps toasted sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place thawed chicken breasts into the bottom of a slow cooker.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients to make the sauce and mix well.

  3. Pour sauce over the chicken in the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.

  4. When the chicken has cooked, shred the chicken and stir it with the sauce in the slow cooker. Allow time for chicken to absorb the sauce in the slow cooker. Serve on buns for over rice if desired.
