Slow Cooker Pork with Seasoned Gravy

Ingredients

  • 2.5 pounds pork loin
  • 3 0.87 ounce packages chicken or turkey dry gravy mix
  • 3 cups water according to gravy package directions
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Place pork loin in the bottom of a slow cooker.

  2. in a sauce pan, add water and dry gravy mixes. Bring to a boil, stirring with a whisk to mix in gravy mix. Follow instructions on gravy package to thicken.

  3. When gravy has thickened, remove from the heat and add garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, thyme, salt, pepper and soy sauce. Stir to combine.

  4. Pour gravy mixture over pork loin in the slow cooker and cook for 8 hours on low.

  5. When pork is ready, serve with mashed potatoes or rice. You can shred or slice the pork loin to serve it.
