Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tsp Karo syrup
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp water
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a small sauce pan with sugar, buttermilk, and Karo syrup.

  2. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for about 2 minutes.

  3. Remove mixture from the heat and add baking soda and water. Stir.

  4. Add vanilla and cinnamon. Stir.

  5. Serve warm over pancakes, waffles, or french toast.
