Orange Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls

Ingredients

Ingredients for the Rolls:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp orange juice fresh squeezed (1 medium orange)
  • 1/4 tsp orange extract
  • 1 package crescent rolls 8 rolls

Ingredients for the Glaze:

  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp orange juice fresh squeezed
  • 2 tsp orange zest

Instructions

Instructions for the Rolls:

  1. Wash and dry medium sized orange. Zest the whole orange and set the zest aside.

  2. Cut the orange in half and juice. Set the juice aside.

  3. Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, 1/4 teaspoon orange juice, and orange extract with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

  4. Separate crescent roll dough and lay each on the counter.

  5. Divide the cream cheese mixture between the eight rolls. Spread the cream cheese mixture out a bit on the large part of each triangle.

  6. Roll the crescent rolls into crescent roll shapes and place on a baking sheet.

  7. Bake at 375° for 12 minutes-until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow 2-3 minutes to cool.

Instructions for the Glaze:

  1. While the rolls bake, make the glaze.

  2. Combine all of the glaze ingredients until smooth, using an electric mixer.

  3. When rolls have cooled for about 3 minutes, Drizzle glaze over the rolls and serve.
