Creamy Alfredo

A delicious creamy pasta sauce with cream cheese.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces pasta prepare as directed on package
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 ½ tbsp flour
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 ½ cups Heavy Cream or Half and Half
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened and cut into smaller pieces
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp dried parsley mixed in or sprinked on top
  • bacon crumbles if, desired

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta according to package directons.

  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and add garlic. Whisk in flour.

  3. Then, add cream, milk, and cream cheese.

  4. Combine over medium heat until smooth and creamy. Stir contintually with a whisk as it heats on a low boil.

  5. Add Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper (and parsley, if desired). Stir until smooth and creamy.

  6. Serve over pasta and as a dip for breadsticks. Sprinkle with bacon crumbles and/or parsley, if desired.
