The Best Caramel Corn Ever!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter NOT margarine!
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 5 3.3 ounce bags buttered microwave popcorn about 33-35 cups popped popcorn

Instructions

  1. Pop all bags of popcorn-do not burn!

  2. Cut a small hole in the bottom of the popcorn bags and shake out the un-popped kernels. Throw them away.

  3. Open the popcorn bags and empty the popcorn into an extra large mixing bowl.

Make the caramel:

  1. Melt butter in a sauce pan, slowly.

  2. Add corn syrup and brown sugar. Stir constantly.

  3. Bring ingredients to a boil. Boil for four minutes (until sugar is dissolved)

  4. Lower temperature and add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla.

  5. Heat through.

  6. Remove from the heat and pour caramel over the popped corn-slowly while stirring carefully.

  7. Coat evenly and enjoy!!
