Cranberry Orange Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pre-made frozen meatballs
  • 1 1/2 tbsp orange zest
  • 4 1/2 tbsp fresh squeezed orange juice 2 large
  • 3 cups fresh or frozen whole cranberries
  • 3 cups Simple Orange orange juice
  • 1 1/8 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Zest oranges and then juice the oranges.

  2. Place orange zest, freshly squeezed orange juice, cranberries, Simply Orange orange juice and sugar into a sauce pan (that is large enough to hold the sauce and the meatballs).

  3. Bring the sauce to a boil, stirring frequently so it will not burn.

  4. When it reaches a boil, continue boiling and stirring for 20-25 minutes to thicken.

  5. Add meatballs to the sauce and continue cooking to heat through the meatballs.

  6. Serve as an appetizer or over rice.
