Three Cheese Italian Pasta Bake

A delicious cheesy pasta dish.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 24 ounces spaghetti sauce
  • 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes, Italian Style DO NOT DRAIN!
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups mozzarella grated-reserve one cup
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp dried parsley

Instructions

Meat Mixture:

  1. Crumble cook ground beef and chopped onion in a deep frying pan.

  2. Add minced garlic, spaghetti sauce, and can of diced Italian tomatoes plus the juice in the can. Bring to a boil and simmer about 4-5 minutes on low heat.

  3. While meat is cooking, cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.

Cheese Mixture:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 3 cheeses, egg, and dried parsley until mixed well. Set aside.

Assembly:

  1. In a 9 X 13 baking dish, place 2 cups of sauce in the bottom.

  2. Place all of the cooked pasta on top of the 2 cups of sauce.

  3. Place all of the cheese mixture on top of the pasta.

  4. Place the remaining sauce on top of the cheese mixture.

Baking Instructions:

  1. Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

  2. Remove Three Cheese Italian Pasta Bake from the oven, remove foil, cover with 1 cup of reserved mozzarella cheese and return to oven just to melt cheese.

  3. Serve and Enjoy!
