Ingredients Needed for Red, White and Blue Bundt Cake:

1 Betty Crocker Super Moist white cake mix

1  1/4 cup water ( or according to cake mix, because they have changed)

1/3 cup oil (or according to cake mix, because they have changed)

4 egg whites

1 cup sour cream

1  3.3 ounce box White Chocolate Instant Pudding

1.75 ounce bottle of red, white, and blue sprinkles (the long ones-jimmies-not the round sprinkles)

Ingredients Needed for the Frosting:

5 ounces vanilla almond bark

2 tablespoons butter, softened

2 tablespoons cream

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla 

Red and blue star sprinkles for decorating

Instructions for Red, White and Blue Bundt Cake:

1. Combine all ingredients for the cake except for the jimmies. When cake is mixed, carefully stir in long red, white, and blue jimmies. DO NOT stir too much-the color from the jimmies will start to color the cake batter.

2. Grease and flour a bundt cake pan. Pour cake batter in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Do not over bake. Let cool on a cooling rack for 10 minutes. When cooled, invert cake onto a cake plate. 

3. Make frosting: Melt vanilla almond bark slowly in the microwave stirring every 10 seconds. Or as directed on package. When bark is nearly melted, continue stirring until completely melted. Then, mix in softened-room temperature butter and allow time to cool a bit. Next, Add cream, room temperature cream cheese, and vanilla. Mix with an electric mixer until smooth. If your kitchen or ingredients were not warm enough, you will need to microwave this mixture on soften butter feature on your microwave at 30 second intervals. Mix with your electric mixer between until smooth and creamy. When it is smooth and creamy, add powdered sugar. Mix again until smooth and creamy. 

4. When ready to frost the bundt cake, microwave the frosting for 10-12 seconds-no longer or the consistency will change. Stir and then pour frosting on top of the cake allowing some to drip down the sides. 

5. Decorate with red and blue star sprinkles.

Red, White, and Blue Bundt Cake

A delicious and moist holiday cake recipe.

Cake Ingredients:

  • 1 Betty Crocker Super Moist white cake mix

  3. Then, add cream, cream cheese, and vanilla. Mix with an electric mixer until smooth. If you have lumps in your mixture, microwave on soften butter feature on your microwave or half of the heat at 30 second intervals mixing with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

  4. Then, add powdered sugar. Mix again until smooth and creamy.

  5. When ready to frost the bundt cake, microwave the frosting for 10-12 seconds-no more or the consistency will change. Stir and then pour frosting on top of the cake, allowing some to drip down the sides.

  6. Decorate with the red and blue star sprinkles.
